a couple of suggestions revolving around 'all words' i think the list should to be organised either in alpabetic order or divided up into catorgries, ie races, gameplay, stratergy ect,

Well, dividing the list into categories is as easy as making a 'races' entry that links to all the info about races, a 'strategy' entry that links to all the various strategic info, etc.

I wouldn't like to divide things up explicitly into categories. My goal has always been to create an anti-hierarchial structure, ie chaos I want order to rise implicitly from that soup, as is already happening as Elethiomel suggests. It is a poststructuralist view on Moo3 . Ordering alphabetically is another thing, would people like that? They're now ordered by creation date. I could also order them by how many comments are in each word. Reply and let me know.

i defenitly think that it should be organised alphabetically as once to list gets really long, (hopefully) it could be really hard to find if you had to scroll down through several hundred items

I don't suppose anything could be done about plurals and singulars? If the references to the Mrrshans are listed as 'Mrrshans', then what of a post that refers to them as the 'Mrrshan'? Or should we just make re-directing posts such as a post under the word 'Mrrshan' saying 'refer to Mrrshans'?

u could just put a little tip below the 'word' asking the user to put it in singular form or plural, i think that would eliminate most but mot all of the problem.

Good question ComposerFox... Just scanning for s's at the end and then matching those with or without them sounds a bit loopy (as becomes a, is becomes i, has becomes ha ). But then, something like noone suggests to have an extra screen where close matches are highlighted would work, good idea! I'd get to play with levenshtein For now though, redirection seems enough.

Another query, i think it would be agood idea to have a direct link for 'new word' from the main screen, cos at the moment you have to go into a existing post to start a new one..... just a thought

um i have query with the 'random' button does it go to a random thread or go to a random entry, the reason i say this is that i clicked on the random button bout 30 times and it came up with the pages that have many entries alot more often than ones with only one entry, ie this thread (suggestion) came up alot more often than say {stars} or {space}. It might have all been a coincidence but if it not where u aware of this?.........i hope that made sense

You guys are way too smart for me Thanks alot, I had to add a DISTINCT to the query, should be evenly distributed now. In effect, it jumped to a random comment.

Another suggestion: have u registered this site with some of the search engines, and/or asked some other moo sites if they could put a link on their page. This would give a big boost to trafic

It was put up a couple of days ago and has generated a lot of traffic. It's possible to get the HTTP referer and thereby see where the traffic is coming from. The Infogrames forum is on top though. Thanks to your post there yesterday noone visitors roughly tripled

Thanks for all your suggestions noone, I like feedback The highscore thing I know about, that's why I didn't want to remove them in the first place. However I just realized what an idiot I had been in the design of that page. I'll make that much smarter and yeah, I can add myself and guests to the total too. The 'Newest' thing I can probably do as well, I'm learning a lot of MySQL syntax these days. I don't know about the counter though, we'll see

Hi, is it possible to format the text in posts? For exemple, have italic, make paragpaphs. It's not usually that an issue, but i just tryed to make a long post in planets, in order to explain a bit how they work, and it's currently completely unreadable. I tried to make a small table, but no matter how many spaces or "returns" i put, all the text is plain lines.I tried to use some UBB and HTML tags to format the text, no effect. If this feature is not implemented yet, it would be nice to have. If formatting is available, a page to explain how to format (something like the rules page) would be helpful.

Hi! Welcome to the citadel and all that Sorry, I haven't implemented any form of formatting yet, though I admit it's a really good idea. I'll consider some options and try to implement them when I find the time. Oh, and I'll delete some posts in planets when I get home

I understand that there are late delveloping problems with the game but maybe a demo would keep us more *rabid* fans happy until it does release.

I don't know if I like the new edit-buttons...
the other graphics are cool, but the edit-buttons somehow don't fit in.
Any other opinions?
Edit: And just when I posted this the buttons were changed again. These new buttons, however, I like very much.
Glad to be of service PS. Normal people can only see two of the buttons, so far. Try logging in as a guest.

There could be a bug in the sessions thingie, though it seems to work for most people. Hmm... I should just delete old sessions for a user when he logs again. Thanks for the notice!

And of course, welcome to the citadel, make sure to climb on the high-score list

Confirmed there was a bug in the logout, I fixed that.

Actually Flo, this happens when you leave the site without logging out - and then return with a new IP. As you can see: The session IP is different from the user IP. This was added to help me diagnose errors from users who say they can't log in.

Why it is still there, I don't know
